Russia has said it will not supply food to the hostile West in response to sanctions

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Moscow has decided not to supply food and agricultural goods to countries on the list of unfriendly, that is, joined the anti-Russian sanctions for Russia's invasion of Ukraine – about 50. Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel. where he called “food” – a silent weapon, recalling that it will affect the situation around the world.

“We will not supply our products and agricultural products to our enemies. And we will not buy anything from them,” he wrote. “We will not give dinner to the enemy.”

Medvedev noted that there is now enough food for the needs of domestic consumers. At the same time, dozens of videos on the Internet, which show that Russians are fighting for sugar, testify to something completely different.

The official also reminded that the restriction on the import of goods from the West was already in force in 2014 – this time it can be extended.

It will be recalled that the head of the US State Department Wendy Sherman has already stated that Russia is responsible for the threat of the global food crisis , as “the consequences of Putin's aggression go far beyond Ukraine.” According to her, Russia is blocking 94 food ships in the Black Sea.
