Russia has blocked the movement of 218 vessels as part of the grain agreement – Ministry of Infrastructure

Ukraine managed to export more than 9 million tons of food to date.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine notes that today it is blocked the movement of 218 ships, after Russia announced its withdrawal from the grain agreement.

“Due to the fact that, as of October 30, the Ukrainian side does not have permits from the Joint Coordination Center to pass through a safe corridor and carry out inspections, 218 vessels are actually blocked at their current positions,” the Ministry of Infrastructure said in a statement.

< p>It is emphasized that 95 loaded ships have left Ukrainian ports and are waiting for inspection to be sent to the final consumer, 101 ships are waiting in line for loading, 22 ships with grain are waiting to leave Ukrainian ports.

The agency adds that Ukraine has not violated any of the clauses of the grain agreement, instead, the Russian Federation has recorded 15 cases of Russian UAVs and planes approaching civilian vessels within a prohibited distance. Also, since September, Russia began to slow down inspections of Ukrainian ships, as a result of which a queue of 176 ships with 2.1 million agricultural products on board was formed.

Thanks to the grain initiative, Ukraine exported more than 9 million tons of food, of which more than 5 million tons – to the countries of Africa and Asia.
