“I personally, and the entire Ukrainian people, am very grateful for the support of the Poles, who turned out to be our real brothers and sisters, who support us in this difficult hour, when we have such a powerful enemy. With such friends, we will definitely win!… (In Laguv) I was with my first film “Gamer”, which received a special prize, but now “Rhino” won the main award and for me it is very nice, because it worked on this project many people from Poland. For example, the cinematographer of the film, my friend Bohumil Godfreyuw, without whom this film would never have been the same. Another friend of mine is Dariush Yablonsky, without whom this film would never have happened… I am very grateful to everyone for helping to create the film… I hope we will win, I will manage to survive, I will shoot a film and I will come to you. Do widzenia!”, Sentsov, who is currently defending our country at the front, commented on the presentation of the award.

“Rhino” is Sentsov's second full-length work, the film was released in Ukrainian theaters on February 17. The world premiere of the film took place at the 78th Venice Film Festival in the “Horizons” program, and the Ukrainian premiere was held in the fall at the Kyiv Critics' Week. The online premiere of “Rhino” took place on the Netflix streaming platform. In addition to Netflix, the tape was bought for showing in Great Britain, France, Italy and other countries of the world. Sentsov's film is scheduled to premiere on ZDF/ARTE.

Sentsov began work on Rhino in 2011, but was forced to put it on hold due to his illegal imprisonment in Russia. The picture was created as a co-production of Ukraine, Poland and Germany with the support of the Eurimages fund.
