Officially from the government: what will happen to utility tariffs in 2022

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to apply tariffs at the level of February 24.

Tariffs for public utilities will remain at the level February 24, 2022. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the resolution “Some issues of regulation of activities in the field of public utilities in connection with the imposition of martial law in Ukraine” of April 29, 2022 № 502.

The Cabinet recommends during martial law in Ukraine, but not before the end of the current heating season, the authorities authorized to set tariffs, not to increase tariffs for heat, heat and hot water supply services, centralized water supply and centralized sewerage for the population.

The decree recommends applying tariffs “to consumer (population) at the level of tariffs applied as of February 24, 2022. “

In addition, it is recommended that companies suspend the implementation of approved investment programs, and the funds provided for crediting to current accounts with a special mode of use for settlements under investment programs, to direct to the payment of energy and repayment of other obligations for security study of stable activity of such business entities; postpone the development, approval and approval of investment programs.
