Nikolai Solsky was appointed the new Minister of Agrarian Policy

The chairman of the parliamentary committee on agrarian and land policy, Mykola Solsky, has been appointed Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in place of Roman Leshchenko, who has resigned. More than 300 people's deputies voted for this decision of the Verkhovna Rada on March 24, the Servant of the People party reported.

Nikolai Solsky entered parliament from the “Servant of the People” faction and headed the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation in August 2019.

The resignation of Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko was announced on Wednesday evening. He has held this position since December 2020, and before that he headed the State Geocadastre. From October 1, 2019 to June 2020 he was the Presidential Commissioner for Land Affairs.

In 2019, Nikolai Solsky was elected People's Deputy of the 9th convocation from the “Servant of the People” party number 125 on the list as a non-partisan.

Previously, he worked as a Deputy Executive Director at Protsik & Partners Law Firm LLC, and also held the position of General Director of Solsky, Protsik & Partners Law Firm LLC.

In 2000-2001 he worked as a legal consultant at PJSC “Enzyme”.

Co-founder of Ukrainian Agrarian Holding LLC, whose land bank has 51,000 hectares of land.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
