“Naftogaz” initiated a new arbitration against “Gazprom”

“Gazprom” has not fulfilled the terms of the contract since May.

Naftogaz of Ukraine submitted request for arbitration to the International Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Paris (France) against Gazprom. This was reported by the head of the company, Yuriy Vitrenko.

According to him, Gazprom did not pay on time and in full for the gas delivered to the territory of Ukraine.

Vitrenko noted that the Russians do not fulfill the terms of the agreement signed in 2019 of the contract, in particular, starting in May, they will pay less for pumped gas.

“We are using our experience of winning over the Russians in arbitration and will make them pay this time as well. However, this is only the beginning, Naftogaz is evaluating the possibility statement of additional conditions,” Vitrenko said.
