Former world ranking leader Andy Murray from March donates his prize money for performances at tournaments to Ukrainian children, the ATP press service reports.

The 35-year-old tennis player during this time donated more than $300,000 to help Ukraine. He plans to continue his charity work until the end of the season.

The next tournament for Murray will be the Citi Open in Washington. The organizers of the competition supported Murray and are ready to double his prize money.

“You can't just forget about it (the war in Ukraine – note). It's still going on. People are still being killed and children are still being forced to leave their homes. , they find themselves in very tragic situations. It's important that the media continue to cover it, continue to talk about it,” said Murray.

Andy Murray is ranked 50th in the ATP rankings. The Briton is a two-time Wimbledon champion and the winner of the US Open.
