Moscow Exchange Supervisory Board recommends refraining from paying dividends to shareholders for 2021

They promised to return to the issue of dividends later.

The Moscow Exchange Supervisory Board recommended that the annual general meeting of shareholders, despite the positive results of 2021, not to pay dividends for the previous year. This is stated in the company's statement.

“This decision is based on the dividend policy, which provides for the priority of compliance with the established capital requirements in the companies of the Moscow Exchange Group over the distribution of dividends,” they said, adding that the dividend policy of the exchange does not change.

And the supervisory board intends to return to the discussion of the payment of dividends during 2022.

The shareholders of the Moscow Exchange are more than 370 thousand individuals and more than one thousand legal entities. The share of shares in free float is 63%.

It will be recalled that the Moscow Stock Exchange, after the collapse on February 28, resumed trading on March 21. According to preliminary data, the government bond index decreased by 9.44% to 98.2 points, compared to previous trades, which, alas, can not be called a collapse, as it is the level of December 2014.
