Maria Prymachenko was posthumously awarded the “National Legend of Ukraine” award

The award was also given to Anatoliy Solovyanenko and Andrii Shevchenko.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established the “National Legend of Ukraine” award last July on the eve of the 30th Independence Day. According to the presidential decree, citizens should be recognized with the award for “outstanding personal merits in the formation of independent Ukraine, strengthening of its statehood, protection of the Motherland and service to the Ukrainian people”, as well as “for a significant contribution to the development of the national economy, science, education, culture, art, sports, health care” and “active charitable and public activities”.
