Maasikas positively assessed Ukraine's progress in the fight against corruption and the appointment of the head of the SAP

He reminded that even earlier the image of corruption was one of the main problems of our state.

EU Ambassador Matti Maasikas said that in the European Union believe that our country quickly implements reforms related to the judicial system and the fight against corruption. He told about this during an interview with the newspaper “European Truth”.

“In the field of combating corruption and implementing judicial reform, the Ukrainian authorities are moving forward as quickly as possible. You have finally appointed the head of the anti-corruption prosecutor's office. This recommendation has been fulfilled,” Maasikas said.

He reminded that the mechanism the selection of the head of NABU is also ready, there is also a positive development in the search for a new head of the asset recovery agency.

“Maselko and Moroz have been appointed to the High Council of Justice – highly respected lawyers who are respected by the very active and meticulous Ukrainian anti-corruption community. This a very positive development. You know that the image of corruption was one of the problems that Ukraine had to deal with. And I am very glad that progress in this area is fast,” Maasikas said.
