“Like the Nazis 75 years ago”: the occupiers took all valuable exhibits from Mariupol museums

Russian occupiers removed all valuable exhibits from museums < Mariupol. The Nazis did the same during the Second World War, the Mariupol City Council reports.

Thus, the Museum of Local History and the Museum of Art were left without their collections, which are the cultural heritage of the city and region, and the institutions themselves were destroyed. The Russian occupiers stole the original paintings by Kuindzhi and Aivazovsky, as well as unique icons and valuable exhibits.

The city council emphasized that the Nazis did the same thing 75 years ago, looting museums and taking away valuable exhibits. The Russians are repeating their path, but using new slogans and flags.

Let us remind you that in the occupied Mariupol, the Russians resort to blackmail en masse in order to ensure the turnout for the so-called “referendum” and to obtain personal data of the residents.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk also stated that the occupation administration of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine increased the scale of forced mobilization of conscripts. The enemy continues to prepare for the referendum.
