“Let it roll”: Olympic champion Verniaev gave advice to fans of “Russian world” in Donetsk

The gymnast is worried about the situation in his native Donetsk.

Olympic gymnastics champion Oleg Vernyaev talked about the mood among the residents of Donetsk, occupied by Russia.

“You can't convince older people anymore, too young people have already listened, they have a bit of an inadequate opinion there. But, it seems to me that I'm starting more and more often hear that people are beginning to ask the question: “Why didn't this happen before? Why didn't they bomb before, but now they bomb?”. They start to analyze something and think about something, but this is not enough.

Honestly, I think that everyone who wants to live in the “Russian world” should go to Russia , and Donetsk has always been and is Ukraine. Maybe I said it rudely, but I think it's like if you come to my house and say: “This room is now mine, don't come in here.” And I'm like: “Well , so. She was always yours. It's some kind of delusion, I don't understand,” said Verniaev in an interview with the Football Hub YouTube channel.
