Kuleba assessed Erdogan's position on Russia's war against Ukraine: “Traditions of Ottoman diplomacy”

In the sixth month of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Turkey cooperates with both states. With Kyiv, Ankara develops cooperation in the military-technical sphere, while continuing to earn money with Moscow. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, called this position of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan “ancient traditions of Ottoman diplomacy”.

“To briefly say about Turkey, about its current foreign policy, it is cooperation in the military-technical sphere with Ukraine and cooperation in the trade-economic sphere with Russia,” the minister told the newspaper during an interview “Gordon”. – That is, by helping us to oppose Russia at the front – objectively, this is what Turkey is doing – they are making money from Russia.”

Remember, The Washington Post reported that during the summit in Sochi, Vladimir Putin asked his Turkish counterpart, Recep Erdogan, to help bypass sanctions in the energy and financial sectors. In return, the Russian president promised to allow an operation against the Kurds in Syria.
