Iran announced Putin's visit after accusations of supplying weapons to the Russian Federation

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan noted, that the White House believes that it is Iran that can start supplying Russia with combat drones capable of carrying weapons for the war against Ukraine. Some time after such a statement, the Iranian agency Mehr announced the visit of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to the country.

According to the Chairman of the Economic Commission of the Majlis of Iran, Mohammadrez Pour-Ebrahimi, the Russian President will arrive in the country next week.

“Planning the development of economic cooperation between Iran and Russia will be a priority in the negotiations between the presidents of the two countries,” Pour-Ebrahimi said.

The Kremlin has not yet confirmed the visit.
