In winter, power outages for 10-12 hours cannot be avoided

In the capital, new buildings on the left bank of the Dnieper will be the most vulnerable: on the right bank of the city there are quite a few relatively small boiler houses, but on the left bank the systems are much more concentrated and, accordingly, more vulnerable .

Accordingly, the biggest challenge for cities will be the threat of freezing water supply and sewage systems. The journalist emphasizes that it is now necessary to assess vulnerable nodes and think about how to prevent them from freezing with the arrival of negative temperatures.

The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukraine has accumulated sufficient volumes of gas and coal to provide Ukrainians with heat in winter. However, during power outages, the pumps that circulate the heat supply system in cities also do not work.
