In Ukraine, zero customs clearance of cars was finally abolished

The President signed the relevant law.

President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law today (№7418 ), which provides for the refund of duties and VAT on imported goods and customs clearance of cars . The document will come into force in full on July 1, Verkhovna Rada MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak told Telegram. The bill was supported in two readings at once (234 votes).

At the same time, the government stated that in a state of war, the attitude to the import of non-essential goods should be reconsidered.

Earlier, Yaroslav Zheleznyak also said that the law provides for exemption from customs duties, VAT and excise duty only for those cars purchased for the needs of the army.

It will be recalled that 60 people's deputies are again proposing to return zero car customs clearance , but only for two categories of the population. One of the authors of the legislative initiative, the People's Deputy from the “Servant of the People” Igor Fris, published the details of the project.
