The Turkish police detained a person who probably left a bomb that went off on Sunday on Istiklal Street in Istanbul's Beyoglu tourist district, killing six people and injuring more than 50. This was stated by the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs Süleyman Soylu, reports Anadolu Agency.

“The person who left a bomb in Beyoğlu was detained by the Istanbul Security Authority. He is being interrogated,” the publication quoted the minister as saying on the night of November 14.

Soylu also noted that the investigation has evidence indicating that traces of the terrorist attack lead to Syria and Kurdish groups recognized as involved in it Ankara as terrorists.
