Victoria Spartz, the first Ukrainian woman in the House of Representatives of the US Congress, sent a corresponding letter to the president.
The representative of the US Congress Victoria Spartz addressed an official letter to the head of the White House Joe Biden and asked him to check the possible connections of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak > with Russia. The congresswoman announced this on Twitter.
“Today I sent a letter to Joe Biden with a request to provide a briefing on the supervisory procedures that are being carried out regarding the head of the Administration of President Zelensky Andriy Yermak,” Victoria Spartz wrote.
A text appeared on the website of the Congress in which it is said that, based on various intelligence sources in the American power circles, there is suspicion of Yermak's cooperation with the aggressor country. According to Spartz, the congressmen urgently need to get confirmation or denial of these “serious allegations”.
Spartz reminded that Andriy Yermak initiated the appointmentOleg Tatarov, who delayed the appointment of the chief anti-corruption prosecutor of Ukraine for more than a year, as his deputy for law enforcement agencies to fight corruption, which led to the incapacity of the SAP and NABU. In addition, the congresswoman noted that in 2020, before his appointment as Yermak's deputy, Tatarov himself was under investigation by NABU, where his case was allegedly improperly transferred to a regular prosecutor and closed.
According to the representative of the American Congress, Volodymyr Zelensky should be careful with his closest circle, and the USA, as a country which takes a material part in the war of Ukraine against Russia, is interested in the transparency of the processes at Bankova.
“President Zelenskyi is working very hard to build alliances with the West and our country, it's our duty to let him know if we might have some concerns about key people around him. This is also our duty to the brave Ukrainian soldiers and the strong Ukrainian people who are fighting for freedom and international order for all of us,” Spartz wrote in the letter.
