The government has simplified the procedure of interaction between the state and the unemployed for the period of martial law. This is stipulated by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “Some issues of registration, re-registration of unemployed and keeping records of jobseekers, accrual and payment of unemployment benefits for the period of martial law” of March 19, 2022, explained by the Ministry of Economy.
According to the explanation, for the period of martial law the procedure of interaction with the unemployed is simplified and adapted as much as possible, and is as follows:
- citizens can apply for unemployment status, benefits or termination of registration using the Portal or the mobile application “Action”;
- you can get the full list of services at the nearest working employment center;
- You can contact the Service by means of telecommunications (telephone, chat support in Telegram, e-mail, filling out online forms).

It is important that the unemployed person can confirm his / her intention to remain in the status of a registered unemployed person by means of telecommunication or by contacting the employment center directly.
The mode of operation of employment centers and their contacts are updated and published in the Telegrams and Viber channels of the State Employment Service.
In areas where employment centers do not have the capacity to prepare payment documents and provide financing, the payment of unemployment benefits will be carried out with the help of Oschadbank JSC. The funds will be transferred to the recipient's account. It is also possible to make money transfers through the international payment system My Transfer.
Registration of the unemployed in the State Employment Service is terminated in the case of:
- failure to visit the employment center (not confirming the intention to remain unemployed) to the registered unemployed without good reason within 30 working days from the date of the decision to visit or the date of the last actual confirmation of the unemployed intention to be unemployed by any means of communication;
- in case of refusal to perform community service.
