Heating season in Ukraine: Shmygal called a new temperature minimum in apartments this winter

The new minimum temperature during the heating season will be 16 ºC.

In Ukraine, the minimum temperature in houses this winter will be reduced to 16 degrees. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmigal, noting that under the current conditions, gas and coal should be used sparingly.

According to him, at the moment, readiness for the heating season in the country is more than 90%. Special heating points for the population have also been prepared, evacuation plans have been developed in the event that it is impossible to quickly restore critical infrastructure.

“After turning on the heating, we urge you to use gas and coal sparingly. Yes, this means a decrease in the temperature in the apartments. The minimum permissible value this winter it will be 16 degrees, and the average will be 18 degrees,” Shmigal said.

He added that “how our country will get through this winter depends on every Ukrainian”.

“Once again, we urge everyone to carefully prepare for winter. It is desirable that every family has a stock of necessary basic things: warm clothes, candles, flashlights, batteries. It is important to prepare this in case light or heat disappears as a result of massive rocket attacks,” he noted. Shmigal.
