The German federal government is going to send an additional 20 million euros for cultural support and media assistance to Ukraine. This was reported by European Truth with reference to Spiegel.

According to the decision of the German government, these funds are included in the additional budget for 2022. They will be set aside to mitigate the effects of Russia's war against Ukraine.

“With the Russian war of aggression, Ukraine's culture and identity must also be destroyed. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to protect Ukrainian cultural sites from Russian destructiveness,” said German Culture Minister Claudia Roth.
