In Sofia Kyivska, with the participation of the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Olexandr Tkachenko, an exhibition from the stock collection of the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine “Love, black-brows…” was opened.

The event took place in the exhibition halls of the Bread of the National Reserve “Sofia of Kyiv”.

The exhibition is dedicated to one of the most important and colorful rites of Ukrainians – weddings. Over the centuries, the structure of the wedding ceremony has basically remained unchanged – with a clearly defined sequence of actions, each of which was important. The exhibition shows the wedding as it is: from antiquity to the present, from photographs of the 19th century to moments of love in the war of 2022.

Due to images in folk paintings, a variety of traditional outfits, ceramics, and wedding paraphernalia, guests will walk along the path an ancient wedding that our ancestors would have been proud of.
