Electricity tariffs: what will change from September 1

An increase in utility bills can cause a serious blow to the wallets of Ukrainians.

Due to military aggression of Russia the financial situation of Ukrainian citizens has significantly worsened, and therefore the increase in tariffs could create a catastrophic debt for communal services.

Back in mid-April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the current electricity tariffs by adopting Resolution No. 453. According to it, the current electricity tariffs will be valid until October 31, 2022. Therefore, the electricity tariff will not change from September 1.

Currently, the amount in the bill for the consumed electricity is calculated from the volume of monthly consumption and is:

  • up to 250 kWh – 1, UAH 44/kWh;
  • over 250 kWh – UAH 1.68/kWh.

How to pay less for electricity

< p>Ukrainians can also pay less for electricity if they install a two-zone or three-zone electricity meter and switch to the appropriate tariffs.

When consuming up to 250 kilowatts:

  • 23:00 – 7:00 – UAH 0.72. for 1 kW/h (50% of the full tariff);
  • 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. – UAH 1.44 per 1 kW/h (full tariff).

Three-zone tariffs:

  • 8:00 – 11:00/20:00 – 22:00 – UAH 2.16 per 1 kWh (150% of the full tariff);< /li>
  • 7:00 – 8:00/11:00 – 20:00 – UAH 1.44 per 1 kWh (full tariff);
  • 23:00 – 7:00 – UAH 0.576 for 1 kWh (40% of the full tariff).

When consuming more than 250 kilowatts:

  • 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. – UAH 1.68. for 1 kWh (full tariff).

Three-zone tariffs:

  • 8:00 – 11:00/20:00 – 22:00 – UAH 2.52 per 1 kWh (150% of the full tariff);
  • 7:00 – 8:00/11:00 – 20:00 – UAH 1.68 per 1 kWh ( full tariff);
  • 23:00 – 7:00 – UAH 0.672. for 1 kWh (40% of the full tariff).
