Do we have to wait for chemical weapons? – Zelensky warned against suspended sanctions

Мы должны ждать химического оружия? - Зеленский предостерег от подвешенных санкций

President Vladimir Zelensky warns the countries of the world against a passive policy of sanctions against Russia and dependence on the strengthening of sanctions on Russia's further aggression against Ukraine. He stated this in his daily address.

“Now there are many hints and warnings that the alleged tightening of sanctions, for example, in the form of an embargo on Russian oil supplies to Europe, will be only if Russia uses chemical weapons. There are simply no words. Just think about what happened: wait “We, the living, must wait. Don't everything that the Russian military has done before and already done deserve an oil embargo? Phosphorus bombs don't deserve? Chemicals fired or a nuclear power plant don't deserve it?”

Zelensky is confident that Ukraine cannot and will not agree with the passive sanctions position of some entities against Russia. There should be no suspended sanctions on packages: if Russian troops do anything, they will get an answer.

“We have already gone through this story last year, when we said that strong preventive sanctions against Russia were needed to prevent an invasion. A preventive package was not made, a full-scale war has begun,” he reminded.

The President stressed that the sanctions should be effective and not create the illusion in Russia that they can afford to continue what they are doing now.

“Already this week we are setting up a group of Ukrainian and international experts at the President's Office who will constantly analyze the sanctions against Russia and what they really affect. Our goal is to make the sanctions work as intended, so that there is no possibility bypass them, “he said.

It will be recalled that Great Britain has imposed new sanctions against Russian defense companies. Russia's defense industry will face the problem of producing unmanned aerial vehicles.
