China is going to artificially induce rains to protect crops from drought

For this, the clouds will be “seeded” with stimulating chemicals.

Against abnormal heat Chinese authorities are going to artificially induce rains to preserve the harvest, reports Associated Press.

“The authorities will try to increase the amount of precipitation due to cloud seeding – the introduction of special chemicals there, and will also spray agricultural crops with a water-retaining additive that will limit the evaporation of moisture from them,” – reports on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China.

According to Minister Tan Zhenjian, the next 10 days are very important for the preservation of the harvest in the south of China.
