Bubka will leave the post of president of the NOC of Ukraine – mass media

In November, the organization may get a new leader.

President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Serhiy Bubka will leave his position in the near future, reports Sport.ua.

According to the source, on November 17, at the regular General Assembly of the NOC, elections for a new head of the organization will be held.

Serhiy Bubka takes over the position of president of the NOC since 2005 and will not take part in new elections.

At the same time, the main contenders for the position may be the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Gutzait and Olympic wrestling champion Zhan Beleniuk, who is also a People's Deputy. It is expected that Bubka will support Gutzeit's candidacy.
