Blinken to discuss with NATO defense ministers ongoing action to combat Russian invasion of Ukraine

The US Secretary of State will hold an informal meeting with the heads of defense agencies.

< It has been reported that Anthony Blinken has already discussed with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg preparations for the forthcoming NATO Summit on 28 June in Madrid, including a document on the Alliance's new Strategic Concept for the next decade. Ukraine's topic was also discussed.

In March, Stoltenberg and Blinken discussed strengthening NATO's eastern border. At the time, there was a need for a “strong and united transatlantic response” to the Russian government's war against Ukraine.
