Arahamiya and Poroshenko – who appeared on the list of absentees of the Verkhovna Rada

The Verkhovna Rada is trying to save as much as possible on the deputies-walkers.

Due to absenteeism of sittings of the Verkhovna Rada by people's deputies the budget of Ukraine saved 5.12 million hryvnias. Most of them are representatives of the former OPZH faction, two are non-partisan, as well as former “servants” Lyudmila Buimister and Yevhen Shevchenko, representatives of the group “For the Future”, Volyn majoritarians Igor Palitsa and Stepan Ivakhiv. In addition, this list includes the head of “Eurosolidarity” Petro Poroshenko, who has been steadily abusing the parliamentary session since November 2019, after the changes on absenteeism came into force.

More nine deputies were not reimbursed for three months in 2022. Among them are the leader of the Servant of the People faction, David Arahamiya, who heads Ukraine's negotiating group after Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine; UAH 93 million from Ukrzaliznytsia.

According to deputies, the Verkhovna Rada is trying to save as much as possible on expenses. In particular, people's deputies do not receive funds for business trips and salaries for the period of business trips.
