Andriy Shevchenko became the first ambassador of the United24 platform to help Ukraine

The legendary Ukrainian football player and coach met with Volodymyr Zelensky.

Former head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko became the first ambassador of the United24 platform, created to help Ukrainians in the fight against Russia's military aggression.

This was reported by the website of the President of Ukraine.

Shevchenko visited the President's Office and met with Volodymyr Zelensky.

“I have represented Ukraine in the international football arena for many years. But today, when my country is suffering from war, my priority is not football, but helping Ukraine. I will do my best to raise awareness about Ukraine's needs to encourage people to join United24, to contribute to our victory, “Shevchenko said.

The first event in support of the platform should be a charity evening auction in London, scheduled for June 8.

United24 will work to raise money, which will be directed in three directions – defense of the country and demining, medical care and reconstruction of Ukraine.
