An exhibition on the occupation of Irpen will be held in Brussels

It will show what the city was like before the war and how it came out of the occupation.

June 3-4 in Brussels will be the exhibition Irpin . Invincible, dedicated to the war in Irpen and the life of the city under occupation . It will open in the “Ukrainian Hub”, located in one of the buildings of the European Parliament. The exhibition is a kind of journey that will show what the city was like before the war and how it came out of the occupation.

< Irpin, Bucha and Gostomel - cities that were among the first to take the blow of the enemy and suffered significant losses. The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate the death and destruction that the "Russian peace" brings, and to show the world what a threat looms not only over Ukraine.

According to the organizers of the event, the Institute for Global Transformation, Irpin. Invincible is an opportunity to tell the world community about the atrocities of the Russian army in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale invasion. It is a visual diary of war and occupation. The main goal of the event is to give maximum publicity to the events that are currently taking place in Ukraine due to the war, so that European countries, in particular, can see and learn the truth about Russia's military aggression against the Ukrainian people.

The exhibition will feature the remains of unique cultural exhibits found on the site of the destroyed by Russia Central House of Culture – the main monument of Irpen. Among them, in particular, the remains of a small concert grand piano August Forster, the remains of a copy of the archeological monument “Trypillya Resonator”, the remains of the interior decoration of the house of culture, utensils, household items, rocket fragments and more. The exhibition will also feature the belongings of locals who suffered from the Russian military, the personal belongings of those who tried to escape the war but could not.

To date, 1,613 private sector facilities have been destroyed in Irpen, and more than 1,500 have been partially destroyed. Among the multi-storey buildings, 513 facilities were severely damaged or completely destroyed. 27 educational institutions were severely damaged or completely destroyed. All health care facilities located in the Irpin Territorial Community have been severely damaged.
