A digital library of modern drama translations has been created in Ukraine

This will allow directors to find Ukrainian plays for productions in different parts of the world.

Ukrainian Institute launches Ukrainian Drama Translations library for distribution modern Ukrainian plays in the world. According to the creators of the project, this will allow directors and producers to find quality translations of plays and contacts of rights holders for productions in different parts of the world.

Yes, the library contains plays by Ukrainian authors translated into five languages. In the search engine, you can customize the search by genre, writing period, topic, text size, or number of characters. Each text is accompanied by an English-language card with a short synopsis and information about the author and translator.

You can read most of the text on the site, but the full version is available directly from the copyright holder. The library promises to constantly update the funds.

The library was founded by the Ukrainian Institute in partnership with the Worldwide Readings Project and the Birkbeck Center for Contemporary Theater, its foundation was formed from the funds of the global initiative Worldwide Readings Project on the move.
